Nipple & areola procedures improve the shape, size, and projection of the nipple and areola. They include reducing prominent nipples (nipple reduction using the MONAS Technique), correcting an inverted nipple so it can project, and refining the areola. All are short procedures with minimal downtime.

Nipple Reduction
Reduces the length or width of prominent nipples — using the MONAS Technique to preserve sensitivity.

All three procedures are done through small, discreet incisions. Nipple reduction uses the MONAS Technique which aims to preserve nipple sensitivity and the milk ducts. At Ultimo Clinic, these procedures can be performed under sedation for comfort — especially for patients anxious about pain.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes inverted nipples?

Inverted nipples are usually caused by shorter ducts or connective tissue pulling the nipple inward. Correction releases that tethering.

It is done under sedation, so you are comfortable during the procedure; any discomfort afterward is generally mild.
It depends on the technique and type of procedure performed. In nipple reduction using the MONAS Technique, the milk ducts are carefully preserved. Please discuss any pregnancy or breastfeeding plans during your consultation.
